Selected Quranic verses

﴿ وَٱلَّذِينَ هُمۡ لِلزَّكَوٰةِ فَٰعِلُونَ ﴾

and those who give zakah[1],

﴿ وَٱلَّذِينَ هُمۡ لِفُرُوجِهِمۡ حَٰفِظُونَ ﴾

and those who guard their sexual desires[2],

﴿ إِلَّا عَلَىٰٓ أَزۡوَٰجِهِمۡ أَوۡ مَا مَلَكَتۡ أَيۡمَٰنُهُمۡ فَإِنَّهُمۡ غَيۡرُ مَلُومِينَ ﴾

except with their wives or slave women they may ow...

﴿ فَمَنِ ٱبۡتَغَىٰ وَرَآءَ ذَٰلِكَ فَأُوْلَٰٓئِكَ هُمُ ٱلۡعَادُونَ ﴾

But whoever seeks anything beyond that, it is they...

﴿ وَٱلَّذِينَ هُمۡ لِأَمَٰنَٰتِهِمۡ وَعَهۡدِهِمۡ رَٰعُونَ ﴾

And those who are faithful to their trusts and ple...

﴿ وَٱلَّذِينَ هُمۡ عَلَىٰ صَلَوَٰتِهِمۡ يُحَافِظُونَ ﴾

and those who properly observe their prayers.

﴿ أُوْلَٰٓئِكَ هُمُ ٱلۡوَٰرِثُونَ ﴾

Such will be the inheritors,

﴿ ٱلَّذِينَ يَرِثُونَ ٱلۡفِرۡدَوۡسَ هُمۡ فِيهَا خَٰلِدُونَ ﴾

who will inherit Paradise[3]; they will abide ther...

﴿ وَلَقَدۡ خَلَقۡنَا ٱلۡإِنسَٰنَ مِن سُلَٰلَةٖ مِّن طِينٖ ﴾

We created man[4] from an extract of clay,

﴿ ثُمَّ جَعَلۡنَٰهُ نُطۡفَةٗ فِي قَرَارٖ مَّكِينٖ ﴾

then We placed him as a sperm-drop[5] in a safe pl...

﴿ ثُمَّ خَلَقۡنَا ٱلنُّطۡفَةَ عَلَقَةٗ فَخَلَقۡنَا ٱلۡعَلَقَةَ مُضۡغَةٗ فَخَلَقۡنَا ٱلۡمُضۡغَةَ عِظَٰم... ﴾

then We made the sperm drop into a clinging clot,...

﴿ ثُمَّ إِنَّكُم بَعۡدَ ذَٰلِكَ لَمَيِّتُونَ ﴾

Then after that you will surely die,
