Selected Quranic verses

﴿ وَنَعۡمَةٖ كَانُواْ فِيهَا فَٰكِهِينَ ﴾

and luxuries they used to rejoice therein.

﴿ كَذَٰلِكَۖ وَأَوۡرَثۡنَٰهَا قَوۡمًا ءَاخَرِينَ ﴾

So it was; and We made another people inherit all...

﴿ فَمَا بَكَتۡ عَلَيۡهِمُ ٱلسَّمَآءُ وَٱلۡأَرۡضُ وَمَا كَانُواْ مُنظَرِينَ ﴾

Neither the heaven nor earth wept for them, nor we...

﴿ وَلَقَدۡ نَجَّيۡنَا بَنِيٓ إِسۡرَٰٓءِيلَ مِنَ ٱلۡعَذَابِ ٱلۡمُهِينِ ﴾

﴿ مِن فِرۡعَوۡنَۚ إِنَّهُۥ كَانَ عَالِيٗا مِّنَ ٱلۡمُسۡرِفِينَ ﴾

﴿ وَلَقَدِ ٱخۡتَرۡنَٰهُمۡ عَلَىٰ عِلۡمٍ عَلَى ٱلۡعَٰلَمِينَ ﴾

﴿ وَءَاتَيۡنَٰهُم مِّنَ ٱلۡأٓيَٰتِ مَا فِيهِ بَلَٰٓؤٞاْ مُّبِينٌ ﴾

And We gave them signs in which there was a clear...

﴿ إِنَّ هَٰٓؤُلَآءِ لَيَقُولُونَ ﴾

Indeed, these [Makkans] say,

﴿ إِنۡ هِيَ إِلَّا مَوۡتَتُنَا ٱلۡأُولَىٰ وَمَا نَحۡنُ بِمُنشَرِينَ ﴾
