﴿ أَمۡ يُرِيدُونَ كَيۡدٗاۖ فَٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ هُمُ ٱلۡمَكِيدُونَ ﴾

﴿ أَمۡ لَهُمۡ إِلَٰهٌ غَيۡرُ ٱللَّهِۚ سُبۡحَٰنَ ٱللَّهِ عَمَّا يُشۡرِكُونَ ﴾

Or do they have a god other than Allah? Glory be t...

﴿ وَإِن يَرَوۡاْ كِسۡفٗا مِّنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ سَاقِطٗا يَقُولُواْ سَحَابٞ مَّرۡكُومٞ ﴾

If they were to see pieces of the sky falling down...

﴿ فَذَرۡهُمۡ حَتَّىٰ يُلَٰقُواْ يَوۡمَهُمُ ٱلَّذِي فِيهِ يُصۡعَقُونَ ﴾

So leave them alone until they encounter their Day...

﴿ يَوۡمَ لَا يُغۡنِي عَنۡهُمۡ كَيۡدُهُمۡ شَيۡـٔٗا وَلَا هُمۡ يُنصَرُونَ ﴾

the Day their plots will not avail them in the lea...

﴿ وَإِنَّ لِلَّذِينَ ظَلَمُواْ عَذَابٗا دُونَ ذَٰلِكَ وَلَٰكِنَّ أَكۡثَرَهُمۡ لَا يَعۡلَمُونَ ﴾

And for the wrongdoers, there will be another puni...

﴿ وَٱصۡبِرۡ لِحُكۡمِ رَبِّكَ فَإِنَّكَ بِأَعۡيُنِنَاۖ وَسَبِّحۡ بِحَمۡدِ رَبِّكَ حِينَ تَقُومُ ﴾

Be patient [O Prophet] with your Lord’s decree, fo...

﴿ وَمِنَ ٱلَّيۡلِ فَسَبِّحۡهُ وَإِدۡبَٰرَ ٱلنُّجُومِ ﴾

And glorify Him at night and when the stars fade a...

﴿ وَٱلنَّجۡمِ إِذَا هَوَىٰ ﴾

By the star when it sets,

﴿ مَا ضَلَّ صَاحِبُكُمۡ وَمَا غَوَىٰ ﴾

Your companion [i.e., the Prophet] has neither str...

﴿ وَمَا يَنطِقُ عَنِ ٱلۡهَوَىٰٓ ﴾

Nor does he speak out of his own desire.

﴿ إِنۡ هُوَ إِلَّا وَحۡيٞ يُوحَىٰ ﴾

It is but a revelation sent down [to him].
