Selected Quranic verses

﴿ فَعَقَرُوهَا فَأَصۡبَحُواْ نَٰدِمِينَ ﴾

But they hamstrung her and so became regretful.

﴿ فَأَخَذَهُمُ ٱلۡعَذَابُۚ إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ لَأٓيَةٗۖ وَمَا كَانَ أَكۡثَرُهُم مُّؤۡمِنِينَ ﴾

And the punishment seized them. Indeed in that is...

﴿ وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ ٱلۡعَزِيزُ ٱلرَّحِيمُ ﴾

And indeed, your Lord - He is the Exalted in Might...

﴿ كَذَّبَتۡ قَوۡمُ لُوطٍ ٱلۡمُرۡسَلِينَ ﴾

The people of Lot denied the messengers

﴿ إِذۡ قَالَ لَهُمۡ أَخُوهُمۡ لُوطٌ أَلَا تَتَّقُونَ ﴾

When their brother Lot said to them, "Will you not...

﴿ إِنِّي لَكُمۡ رَسُولٌ أَمِينٞ ﴾

Indeed, I am to you a trustworthy messenger.

﴿ فَٱتَّقُواْ ٱللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُونِ ﴾

So fear Allāh and obey me.

﴿ وَمَآ أَسۡـَٔلُكُمۡ عَلَيۡهِ مِنۡ أَجۡرٍۖ إِنۡ أَجۡرِيَ إِلَّا عَلَىٰ رَبِّ ٱلۡعَٰلَمِينَ ﴾

And I do not ask you for it any payment. My paymen...

﴿ أَتَأۡتُونَ ٱلذُّكۡرَانَ مِنَ ٱلۡعَٰلَمِينَ ﴾

Do you approach males among the worlds[1057]

﴿ وَتَذَرُونَ مَا خَلَقَ لَكُمۡ رَبُّكُم مِّنۡ أَزۡوَٰجِكُمۚ بَلۡ أَنتُمۡ قَوۡمٌ عَادُونَ ﴾

And leave what your Lord has created for you as ma...

﴿ قَالُواْ لَئِن لَّمۡ تَنتَهِ يَٰلُوطُ لَتَكُونَنَّ مِنَ ٱلۡمُخۡرَجِينَ ﴾
