Selected Quranic verses

﴿ فِي كِتَٰبٖ مَّكۡنُونٖ ﴾

In a Register well-protected;[1619].

﴿ لَّا يَمَسُّهُۥٓ إِلَّا ٱلۡمُطَهَّرُونَ ﴾

None touch it except the purified [i.e., the angel...

﴿ تَنزِيلٞ مِّن رَّبِّ ٱلۡعَٰلَمِينَ ﴾

[It is] a revelation from the Lord of the worlds.

﴿ أَفَبِهَٰذَا ٱلۡحَدِيثِ أَنتُم مُّدۡهِنُونَ ﴾

Then is it to this statement that you are indiffer...

﴿ وَتَجۡعَلُونَ رِزۡقَكُمۡ أَنَّكُمۡ تُكَذِّبُونَ ﴾

And make [the thanks for] your provision that you...

﴿ فَلَوۡلَآ إِذَا بَلَغَتِ ٱلۡحُلۡقُومَ ﴾

Then why, when it [i.e., the soul at death] reache...

﴿ وَأَنتُمۡ حِينَئِذٖ تَنظُرُونَ ﴾

And you are at that time looking on -

﴿ وَنَحۡنُ أَقۡرَبُ إِلَيۡهِ مِنكُمۡ وَلَٰكِن لَّا تُبۡصِرُونَ ﴾

And We [i.e., Our angels] are nearer to him than y...

﴿ فَلَوۡلَآ إِن كُنتُمۡ غَيۡرَ مَدِينِينَ ﴾

Then why do you not, if you are not to be recompen...

﴿ تَرۡجِعُونَهَآ إِن كُنتُمۡ صَٰدِقِينَ ﴾

Bring it back,[1620] if you should be truthful?

﴿ فَأَمَّآ إِن كَانَ مِنَ ٱلۡمُقَرَّبِينَ ﴾

And if he [i.e., the deceased] was of those brough...

﴿ فَرَوۡحٞ وَرَيۡحَانٞ وَجَنَّتُ نَعِيمٖ ﴾

Then [for him is] rest and bounty and a garden of...
